New York Fashion Week
The semi-annual New York Fashion Week, branded Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek in 2009, is held in February and September of each year in New York City. It is one of four major fashion weeks held around the world, along with those in >Paris, London, and Milan. The first New York Fashion Week, then called Press Week, was the world’s first organized fashion week. Held in 1943, the event was designed to attract attention away from French fashion during World War II, when fashion industry insiders were unable to travel to Paris to see French fashion shows. At that time, buyers were not admitted to the shows and instead had to visit designers’ showrooms.
The broadcast of the Golden Globe Awards, telecast to 167 countries worldwide, generally ranks as the third most-watched awards show each year, behind only the Oscars and the Grammy Awards. Until Ricky Gervais hosted the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards Ceremony in 2010, the award ceremony was one of two major Hollywood award ceremonies (the other being the Screen Actors Guild Awards) that did not have a regular host; every year a different presenter introduced the ceremony at the beginning of the broadcast. Gervais returned to host the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards in 2011 and has now hosted the show four times. The 75th Golden Globes show will welcome some of the most influential individuals that the film industry has to offer. With hundreds of celebrities expected from around the world, this is one event not to be missed, and One Concierge is proud to offer a host of concierge and lifestyle management solutions for those attending the Golden Globe Awards.
